fifine HT6 Headset Built-in Microphone Setup

Written by Lola J. Strain

How Do I Install the Detachable Microphone?

Unplug the microphone to separate it from the headset. Insert the microphone fully into the jack to reattach it to the headset.

Tips: Ensure the microphone is fully inserted into the microphone jack for a secure connection. Also, position the microphone slightly below your mouth, ideally 1.2 - 2.0 inches away. Adjust it to a 30 - 45° off-axis angle from your mouth to minimize plosive (popping) sounds.

My Microphone is Connected, but There is No Sound. What Should I Do?

  • Make sure the mic connection is secure.

  • Press the mute button on the headset and check if the indicator on the mic turns red (Which means the mic is muted).

  • Make sure the headset is set as the default input device.

  • Check if the privacy settings on your PC and software have blocked the mic.

How Do I Mute or Unmute The Microphone?

Press the mic mute button to mute or unmute the microphone. The mic indicator lights up red when muted, and turns off when unmuted. No Light? The mic is active. When the light is on, the mic is muted.

How Do I Use the Microphone Noise Cancellation Feature?

You can open the "AI Noise Reduction" function and adjust the strength in fifine SoundLink software.

Note: The noise cancellation function only works on the detachable mic, not the headphone.

My Microphone Sounds too Quiet or Unclear. What Should I Do?

  • Check the microphone connection

Make sure the microphone is securely connected to the headset.

  • Check the microphone position

Position the microphone close to your mouth, with the microphone pickup area facing toward you.

  • Increase the microphone input volume

Make sure HT6 is selected as the input device and that the input volume is set to an appropriate level.

  • Check the microphone settings in your application

If you are using Discord, Zoom, games, or other voice-chat applications, make sure HT6 is selected as the microphone and that the application's microphone volume or input sensitivity is configured correctly.

  • Test the microphone with another application or device

This can help determine whether the issue is caused by HT6 or by the settings of a specific application or device.
