It could be possible by using a microphone clamp as an alternative to the shock mount. But there're chances that the mic will fall from the clamp when you move it around. So the best practice is to secure the mic with the included shock mount.

The thread size is standard 5/8". To attach the mic onto a scissor arm stand, you need to screw the 5/8" to 3/8" adapter that comes with the arm to the shock mount in the first place.
